Teeming with Automation Ideas

Hello, my friends. Happy Friday. It is the first day I don't have this week that I don't have any meetings on my calendar. And I find myself just teeming with ideas.

I've it's been business wise a pretty good week. I've had a lot of conversations, good discovery calls. My client pipeline, potential client pipeline is filling up.

I hate that I don't, I guess I kind of know why, but I don't really, really know why. I mean, I guess it's some signal that I'm gonna have to figure out. But one of the reasons I'm teeming with ideas is because I've been doing these discovery calls, and then I have been transcribing them.

But the app I use, Mac Whisper, which is great and a local copy of Whisper AI doesn't do a very good job of extracting different voices from the same track. And so when I do these discovery calls, there's no delineation or designation between what I say versus what the person I'm on the call says. And so what I've been doing is uploading them to Cast Magic, which does an excellent job of this, then downloading the transcript and putting it through my standard set of prompts in chat GPT, where I ask it first, like, is it clear who's speaking? That's always the first thing I want to make sure it knows how the transcript is set up. Then I ask it, like, summarize the call, give me an overview of the client's situation and needs.

What did I offer them during the call? And then let's turn that into an offer, which, of course, then I heavily tweak. But it's a starting point for me in a place where I struggle. So I am teaming with ideas because I have determined that through Zapier, I can upload these calls automatically to Cast Magic. And then I can, I believe, get the transcript from Cast Magic and send that over to chat GPT. So I'm pricing out a few things.

You need to use cloud recording if you're going to have the Zoom integration with Cast Magic. But you can also have Zapier watch a Dropbox folder. And so I can use Hazel to copy the audio file from Zoom into a specific Dropbox folder and get the same effect. But it seems negligible. Like, it seems like I'd be able to do 10 of these. And if I just clear out the cloud storage folder, maybe that doesn't matter.

And then I'm also looking at, for the first time, even though I've had lots of ideas to do something like this, I'm looking at the OpenAI API for Zapier. And I figure about a half hour call is around 6,500 words, which is just shy of eight tokens or I'm sorry, nine tokens, but let's make it around 10. And we're looking at about five cents per request. And I assume what that means is to send the transcript over, it would be about five cents. And then it would be like an insanely low amount for subsequent. So maybe six cents per request. This is very interesting to me.

So I'm going to explore this a little bit more. But this is what I'm thinking about today. This is the kind of stuff that lights me up. Automations and things like that.

I hope going into the weekend, everything's good with you. And if you have thoughts about this or if you've worked with the OpenAI API, or anything like that, I'd love to hear your thoughts. You can respond right to the email where this came in or go to streamlinedfeedback.com and send a message over. Thanks so much.
